Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Carson Residents Directory collects, how that limited information is used, and the choices available to you. The site is a reference to public rolls and directory collections in Carson, Los Angeles County, and California; it does not require an account or keep a resident record about you.

Information You Choose to Send

If you use a search form, the name, phone number, or address you enter is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.

Routine Technical Information

Our host records ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.

How We Use the Information

We use it to run the site, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.

Links to Other Websites

Carson pages link to outside services such as the Los Angeles County Assessor Portal, the Los Angeles County RR/CC, and LA Superior Court Find a Case, as well as libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy policy of each outside service controls what you submit there, not this one. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate company under its own data practices.

Who May Receive It

Hosting and technical service providers process server logs while supporting the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not disclose it.

How We Safeguard It

The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no user accounts, this site has no password or personal profile of yours to expose.

People Under 18

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your California Privacy Choices

For information this site controls, the California Attorney General CCPA guide and Civil Code §§1798.100 et seq. describe rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit sensitive-information use, and avoid discrimination for exercising those rights. Some lawfully available government records fall outside CCPA definitions, so a request to this site cannot erase the source deed, court file, assessment, or roll held by a public custodian.

The Delete Act, also known as SB 362, created DROP under Civil Code §§1798.99.80-.89. Consumers could submit one free deletion request for registered data brokers beginning January 1, 2026; registered brokers began processing those requests August 1, 2026 and check for them at least every 45 days. Use the official California data-broker registry and DROP information, keep the confirmation and date, and recheck rather than paying an unverified deletion service.

For eligible survivors of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, trafficking, child abduction, or elder or dependent-adult abuse, the Secretary of State's Safe at Home program and its eligibility FAQ describe a substitute address, mail forwarding, a service-of-process agent, and confidential voter registration. Safe at Home can be reached at 877-322-5227; it is not retroactive deletion of every old public record. For a request about data we control, use the Contact page. For a Carson, Los Angeles County, or California government record, contact the custodian office instead.

Policy Updates
